Kolkata Knight Riders Win Displaces Delhi Daredevils From The Top

Delhi_Daredevils_DD-Kolkata_Knight_Riders_KKR07 May 2012 : Kolkata Knight Riders won by 6 wickets.The match was of great importance as it was between the two impressive teams in this season of the Indian Premier League.After this win the Kolkata Knight Riders will be in the top of the points table displacing Delhi Daredevils.The Daredevils batted first and put before the Knight Riders a  total of 153.In reply to this the Knight Riders comfortably chased it in 18.4 overs with a loss of 4 wickets.The performance of Jacques Kallis was important in their win,as Kallis took two important wickets and scored 30 runs.Kallis made the early break through by taking the wickets of the two aggressive players Virender Sehwag and David Warner.Pietersen's absence was clearly visible as the Delhi Daredevils batting struggled at one stage.Irfan Pathan played a valuable knock and Ross Taylor was a failure as he couldn't score even a single boundary.The Kolkata Knight Riders started well with strong partnership from skipper Gautam Gambhir and Brendom McCullum.Once again Gambhir played a match changing innings by scoring 36 off 21 balls.Brendom McCullum managed to score a half century.The scores and important performances are given below :
